Printing

You can print using our CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) server. Add a network printer using IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) specifying either http://printsv.ictp.trieste.it/printers/printername as printer URL (Windows XP) or printsv.ictp.trieste.it as host and printername as queue name (Mac OS X). Under Mac OS X you could also edit the file /etc/cups/cupsd.conf, looking for the string BrowsePoll and inserting the line:

BrowsePoll printsv.ictp.trieste.it:631

After restarting the computer or at least the /usr/sbin/cupsd process you should see all the printers of the ICTP as Shared Printers.
